I like the idea of creative accountants :)

I did find this calculator https://simpletax.ca/calculator that seems to back up what you were saying.

I'm also worried about the cost of living to be honest. I have seen what I can earn (hopefully) but just having a number doesn't really mean much without knowing the cost of living (house, power, water, car, internet, food) and the added costs of enjoying living (eating out, drinking, holidays etc)

It's probably my biggest worry about looking at moving to Canada right now
Forgot about internet. Another minor expense. Looking around $100-150 including home telephone, cable and internet !
If you were to buy a house or condo, your mortgage would $400 for every $100,000.
That means if you were to buy a $500,000 house ( average home price in GTA ) your mortgage wpukd be 400×5 =$2000 approx.

Hi, Today is my birthday and I am at 444 points. Just wanted to know that since the draw would be after today, so do I have to update my profile in a certain manner so that the points are disclosed at 439 (5 points getting reduced due to age factor) or is it done by the system automatically.

Also, what is the cut off date when the draw happens? Like if the draw happens tomorrow, then the ITAs would be sent basis the CRS scores table as on 28 June or a little prior to that.

Thanks in advance.
Regarding the CRS update, it should affect your profile and get updated automatically. As IRCC takes about a month to update their "programming", I believe they must have applied that routine in their code, at least.

Yes, ITAs will be sent on the basis of scores as on the exact date and time of the draw.
They may present us with a score distribution table as on some prior date, but the ITAs will not be based on that score distribution.

You don't have to accept anything. you have six months to apply, and if you open a ONe-key profile, you have 14 days to submit your application. If you aren't ready within the 14 day time frame, you can always delete your ONe-key profile and open a new one.
All the very best!
Oh that is helpful! I always thought once the 14 day period is over and documents still not uploaded, OINP is invalid and 1500$ down the drain lol. Thanks for sharing the info.

@arunroy007, are you fit enough to create the 67th Ray of Hope Thread? It is looming!!
I wish I am.. already tired with the waiting.. happy to move aside for any newcomers to create too as I might get picked for the next draw @408 ( and an older profile ;) ) and will not be following the thread anymore :D

Thanks for the reply. Really helpful. Just hoping for the ITA in the next draw like many :) .

Are the emails/ messages pertaining to ITA sent automatically once the draw happens? like simultaneously? or are the cut off marks shared first and then the ITA email/ messages are sent?

Thanks again for your help.

The draw happens first, and is updated on this page: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/rounds.asp
The ITAs are issued sequentially, and will take up to 24 hours to reach everyone.

PS: If my post helped, and you wish to repay me, then help others!!

Well, I can see people here are really knowledgeable with respect to the procedures and other aspects.

But, nevertheless, I can try and help others here and outside as well, if I can.

Really grateful to you for the knowledge you passed on.

Thanks.

I thought so too, and struggled to upload my documnets...submitted them on the last day.. but then i became familiar with this forum, and have learned so much since that time

Home of binge drinkers, beloved Ireland lol
Brings me to question you, and I know you'll be thrilled to answer. Everyone takes pride in their drinking, lol.
How much amount, in mltrs or ltrs, would qualify as "binge" drinking?
And is the drinking supposed to be on the rocks, water, or pure neat?
