Hello Legal Falcon!
I finally received my PPR today - i am inland CEC applicant and they've asked me to "submit one photocopy of the photo page and any pages containing amendments of the passport for you".
Could you please tell me what are the "pages containing amendments of the passport" for me?
Is this the main page where your name and date of birth etc is? or do i need to scan all pages?

Thanks:-)

I believe that you are from a visa exempt country. You will have to send them the bio pages, which is usually the first and the last pages. The amendment pages are additional endorsements that are put on a passport, which differs from country to country.

For the US passport holders, it is last few pages in your passport are known as amendment pages. These pages can only be used for amending your passport, which may include name change, additional pages, or any other pertinent information the US Department of State wishes to note in your passport.

So check your passport, and see if your have any pages at the end which contain anything. If there is noting, you don't have to turn anything.

Heartiest Congratulations for the PPR. All the best for the journey ahead!

We don't meet the six months requirement, fixed it in the 5th if may and got ita may 19th. So should we get a gift deed then?
If your spouse is on the application, then either of your can show the funds in your bank account. It does not have to be the Primary applicant. If you have sent the funds to him in US, that is fine too. IRCC will not ask the source if you meet the requirements of 6 months average balance.

To make things simple: If your spouse, who is on the application gives you funds, you do not need gift deed. You can show the PoF, by showing bank accounts of the PA, and the spouse, of both together.

If the funds are coming from a family member, other than your spouse, then you need the gift deed.

Hi Legalfalcon
I am sure you have answered this before but after how many days should you order gcms notes post AOR. Keeping in mind the processing timelines of late. My AOR is 9th May.

Thanks.

The rule of thumb is that you should order GCMS notes between 45-60 days post AoR. This is the time when your R10 is complete and eligibility may or may not have started. Once the R10 is complete, you are sure that your application is complete and going smooth. Then you need to keep a track of eligibility, this is where a lot of applicants have hiccups. This is usually done at 3-4 months post AoR.

After you see what comes out of your first GCMS, then you can plan to order notes accordingly to keep track of your application.

There is no requirement to order GCMS, just that it gives you peace of mind and ensures that there is no issue with your application.

Hi lagalfalcon,

Unfortunately no. The only time IRCC will release the GCMS notes early is if there is a deportation proceeding or a litigation going on, which involves the immigration application. Some application take much longer too.

If its been over 30 days, ask GET GCMS team to inquire about the status of your request.

Hi LegalFalcon.

I did not get any e-mail update on my CSE sent exactly 6 weeks one day ago. After yesterday updates, my "Review of additional documents" status changed to "The additional documents you provided have been uploaded."

I know these statuses are messed up for all applicants but I dont see many with this status in particular. In most profiles they say they are "reviewing documents".. Do you think I should consider this status as valid and assume my documents are added to my application or it is just a coincidence/technical glitch? Should I try to contact IRCC? Can I call them from Europe, they provided the number for Canada only?

These random messages are showing up since IRCC recently updated their website. I would wait for 1-2 days before you raise a CSE or take action. By then the things would have been resolved.

To call IRCC from outside Canada do the following:

+1 613 944 4000 (for an agent: options 1,2,1,2,1 ... then 0 to skip the message)

Hi sir, can you help me out? Should I accept ITA and submit an electronic application for permanent residence (e-APR) to IRCC before 2 years work experience reach. My score is above the invitation score and qualified the EE even not counting the second year Canadian work experience. Anyone who has similar situation before can tell me if we can pass the background check in that case? Thank you!

Hi Legalfalcon.....
Could you please provide some insights for my case!
In the online profile under
Review of additional documents (section) : It says "The additional documents you provided are being reviewed." It change today from "The additional document you provided is uploaded"..... to being reviewed..

I had uploaded IMM5476 (Use of Representative form as they asked me to upload) + also I had informed IRCC via webform about my change in job. I had uploaded "Acceptance of resignation letter" of my previous job and Offer letter for the new job.

Which document do you think is being reviewed now and what might be the consequences after review of additional document. I am a little bit concerned as BG changed to IP on 19 May and I have seen people getting PPR today after BG changed to IP on June 2...... Pls Suggest!!!!

Also Do you think have travel history might delay the final result as I have been to various European country and Canada plus India and China as well.

If your score is above the cut off ITA score irrespective if not counting the second year, you can go ahead and accept the ITA, Just make sure that you calculate it properly.
