They will send you directly through EE if they want you to apply. You don't have have to do anything except making an EE Profile.

Don't know if it will help but I finally got ITA cut-off method used by CIC. According to CIC rules the minimum number of ITA's are determined using the following method:

(Number of PR Planned for 2017 - Number of Application under processing - Number of Applicants expected to accept ITA)/ Number of planned rounds remaining in the year.

I hope our data geeks in this forum will be able to predict much better using this guided formula.

My guess is as follow:
Acceptance of ITA = 70%
Number of planned rounds this year= 30

Other details are available online that needs to be worked on.

Finally, this rule clearly indicates that CIC doesn't take account of CRS score for issuance of ITA. So there is no reason it will not decrease below 400 if number of applicants above it are few.

Hey, I am no expert here but just out of curiousity.

Acceptance of ITA only 70% ?
Why would such a large number of people (30%) decline ITA ?

It is on the higher side. In the previous years people rejecting ITA's were on average 35%. There can be many reason but the most common one is lack of documents available to proceed or errors found during application.

Here are some common reasons i have seen and heard about in the forum:

- unable to gather all documents before deadline (pcc, reference letter).

- applicant realized that he/she made a a mistake in documenting correct dates of employment after receiving ita.

- marriage/divorce/pregnant after ita.

- other errors in creating ee profile, but realized after receiving ita.

1. Yes the results are valid for two years only , from the date of Test.
2. No answer from me. I dont EE system validates the score and other documents. They check everything only after ITA and eAPR
3.YOu may get invitation but your score is not correct so you should reject it for good.
4.You should decline the invitation, cause if you apply it will get rejected.
5. You cannot proceed with the invitation, and you cannot show new results, cause they will only consider the score on the day of invitation.

Better wait for the results and update the profile with the new results.

All the best.
Thanks for your assistance.

Declining is easy; just a click away! However, if there is a draw day after tomorrow and I get invitation, I can wait for couple of days to confirm that my wife's IELTS score is at least as good as last one and then I can accept the invitation. Technically speaking, if IELTS result is considered from date of test (which is 13-May-2017), her result is valid as of draw date (24-May-2017) and application date (may be a week later). Also I can upload her new result while submitting final application. Below is extract from CIC website with my comments in green. Any second opinion?

How long language test results are valid for
Your test results must be less than two years old when you submit your application for permanent residence. (I will submit application with new results, which will be less than two years old at that time)

If you have been invited to apply, check that your language test results will still be valid when you plan to apply for permanent residence. If you haven’t been invited, you may want to make sure your results are valid for the rest of the time you will be in the pool. (New results will be valid at the time of application)

If your results will expire before you can apply, you should:
  • be tested again, (Yes, tested again on 13-May-2017)
  • apply before your test results expire, or
  • decline the invitation and go back into the pool to be considered in the future.
If you apply for permanent residence with language test results that have expired, we will refuse your application. (I am not applying with an expired results!)

Hello guys. Can one submit all documents after getting ITA except FBI PCC and then send a LOE pending when the PCC is ready? I am presently in Nigeria and do not know how to go about the FBI PCC from here. I did one before but while in the US and it became invalid after I re-entered the US. Waiting at CRS 413. Thank you
