Wish you all the best bro.

Hi there!

If the visa stamped says for example laval quebec does that mean we have to find work in there? Or as you say we can find we can stay min of 6 mos and then move to another? Thanks

I do not think the visa will specify the province or the city. It is supposed to be a visa to enter Canada not a certain province. Could you please mention when you submitted your federal application and when they sent you the medical request?

My friend's visa states the province. He applied the same as I did and already landed in Montreal on the 2nd week of March.. Received a notification from VFS today - documents are being dispatched from the Visa office via the courier partner. Hopefully will receive it soon.

My application processing time:
*CSQ received on April 20, 2016
*submitted update of application as requested by CIC on April 23, 2016
*received application for permanent residence on May 17, 2016.
*received federal file no. on September 16, 2016 and correspondence acknowledging receipt of application(s)
*started processing application on October 4, 2016.
*sent correspondence for medical check up and additional update on October 19, 2016.
*Medical check up done November 1, 2016
*Medical results have been received January 30, 2017. - this was due to the additional requirements needed not being submitted by the agency until the final notice date.
*visa finally ready- notified February 7, 2017
*submitted passports at VFS dubai February 28, 2017

This is new for me.

Just a quick question. Are you sure your application has been processed in Abu Dhabi? You submitted your application in May 2016 and you got your PPR in Feb 2017. It does not look like Abu Dhabi.

sorry my mistake. To clarify, we submitted our passports to VFS dubai then they submitted to the embassy in Abu Dhabi since I think it is the only embassy here in the UAE. As far as I know through the correspondence by mail, our application was processed in london

Are you sure it is the visa and not the CoPR. There is no space on the visa to list the "destination city" as specified under the federal application. However that city is indicated under the CoPR.

You would be fine as long as you stay within Quebec. As far as I know , MIDI/CIC uses destination city for statistics purposes only.

Hello and congrats on your visa,

Pray for me bro. I think I am the oldest applicant in the whole world right now, with more than 16 months, having only the AOR.
