Do we have to declare our credit card balance in the proof of funds document? If so, do we have to show past 6 months as well?

yes, they clearly ask for CC balance on a liability letter

no, just current outstanding balance is fine...

nice,

i had to wait 10 days for the liability letter to come for the CC statement... that delayed the submission ha ha

lucky for me i have no loans, so it should be fairly straightforward

A liability letter isn't required. Cic just want a letter from your bank outlining your accounts.

Million $ question. Asivad said no need but we still nees to hear from more people

my 2 cents is, u cant show credit card limit as proof of funds. But please do not show credit card liability. Canadian government need not know ho much credit card debt u have. They just care about the required amount of funds in ur account.

I've not shown any of my credit cards either...!!
In case you've any outstanding or liability in any form and you want to show your credit card statement, there is no harm in doing that too.
Make sure arranging documents for your CC shouldn't add any delay for you to submit your application. Also amount in proof of fund should consider the liability due to the CC usage (if any).

Thanks. If I don't have to mention it, then I prefer not to. I was just thinking that I will be paying with the card so it's clear that I do have one... and was wondering whether it was required to provide the details for the card. If I don't have to mention it, I will leave it out. It would take extra time to get it. Thanks everyone.

Hello Members,

I have few loans and credit card debts. Should i show these in my proof of funds or can these be excluded?

What if i only produce a bank statement with the required funds?

Please suggest.

Rule No 1: If they do not ask for it, do not provide it. Simple. Do not volunteer information that is not required for the process.

What about monthly average balance for 6 months? I am planning to arrange funds through a gift deed from my Dad. Would that suffice?

I dont plan to include credit cards.
