Hi

Did anyone on Work Permit get 50 (or 200) points for arranged employment ? I updated my profile with the additional questions regarding Job Offer , but dint get any points for "Arranged Employment". I thought I would get 50 points as I am on Work Permit (Intra Company Transfer) and my employer has agreed for Job Offer Letter. Did I miss updating something to avail those points .

Any advice , much appreciated

Thanks

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Have you worked there continuously for one year on full-time basis?

Do you have your employer's name on your work permit?

Will you be able to work for that employer for one year AFTER receiving your PR?

We need more info to help you.

Cheers ;)

I faced the same issue. I feel that the issue was with the below question in "intended work in Canada".

For the below question there are 4 or 5 options to choose from drop down. I think "No" may not be the right answer for ICT. The last option something like "LMIA not required and employer mentioned in workpermit" should be the right one.

Was a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) issued for the current work permit?

Try changing it and submit.

---- My experience

I noticed the above and tried to update and resubmit the application but couldn't submit after updating as I didn't see the continue button. I reported the technical issue but the response was not helpful and was so generic.

If you are not successful in getting the additional points for the ICT, I strongly suggest you to withdraw and submit a new profile asap. It takes 24 hours to get the points after that. Also ensure to choose the correct option for the question "Was a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) issued for the current work permit?"

Hi

As per new rule :

An LMIA will no longer be needed for certain qualifying job offers to receive CRS points as well as points for arranged employment under the Federal Skilled Worker Class. Many people in Canada on an LMIA exempt work permit will be able to carry that LMIA exemption under Express Entry, including those:
here under the North America Free Trade Agreement
here under a federal-provincial agreement
here under Mobilité Francophone or
are an intra-company transferee
as long as they meet certain criteria, such as at least one year of work experience from the same employer who is providing their job offer.

I qualify for 50 points under these rule.

Thanks

Yes, you qualify for 50 points if you are under I CT.

What I meant is, not to choose the option "NO" for that question. I guess this may be reason some people are not getting this additional 50 points. Instead we should say "LMIA not required" ...

Thank You . Just saw that there are other options , instead of Yes or No.
Earlier , couple of days ago, there were only two options for the question : "Was a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) issued for the current work permit? "

I guess they are still updating the system to implement the new rules.

I have updated my profile again. Now waiting if I get the 50 Points

Thanks for this post, I totally missed that last question.

However, I noted that whether I chose "NO" or "NO LMIA, employer..." it made no difference on my case.

I meant to choose NO as I am under PGWP.

Was it just a delay? Or did you have to change something?

Hi Guys!

I have a question to you and I need help.

I've been working in Canada for last 2 years, but I had 2 months break between that, because I lost my work permit status expired.
For now my work permit is still valid for a couple next months. My employer is applying for LMIA, but it will take a while when I hopefully get it.

So... I am going to start with Express Entry profile ASAP and try to get 50 points for offer of employment.
Could you tell me if I qualify for that?

Thank you very much and keep fingers crossed for you!:)

I had to update the LMIA related question to "NO, my Work Permit is LMIA Exempt:. I think there was glitch in the system that delayed the points update
