Helle guys,

I was wondering what is the rejection rate for the Ontario PNP? And the reasons for the rejection?

Thanks.

Actually, there's been quite a few already, though not all are reported in the spreadsheet:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wBVA84e9i-uW3SEFnrHPOECTagG4imkCUoc0SsTtukQ/edit?pli=1#gid=1449150989

From what members reported on this forum:

- not fulfilling NOC lead statement and duties
- stronger ties in United States, did not demonstrate sufficient ties to Ontario
- work experience is not from the last 5 years (FSW)
- submitted IELTS that expired during processing, did not submit new IELTS score (therefore, EE profile became ineligible)

The number of rejections is quite less and as a matter of fact, Ontario provides enough opportunities to rectify any errors or provide necessary justifications, if required and hence the chances of getting nomination is quite high.

But than ON has slowed down the process. If they take so man months to give nominations than IELTS of many applicants will expire.

Declaration of consent portion in the application form. This wasn't a rejection, but the application was considered incomplete.

I see. I do have a question regarding the signatures. My signature on the last page of my passport is in Chinese. But my name is in English letters on the passport info page and temporary visa page. Do I need to sign the documents with Chinese characters, or the English letter name would be fine. Thanks.

I think they'd appreciate the English letter name signature more. :)

IMO, Points 1,3 and 4 are a miss from the applicant side. OINP issues PT's without doing an in-depth check of the applicants eligibility criteria. Point 3 is one of the eligibility criteria, Point 4 is also one of the requirement.
Point #2 - Many FSW Out land applicants don't have a stronger tie with Ontario (Including me :)). It all depends on how we convenience the VO processing our application.

OINP is giving a chance to rectify minor errors. I think they are very generous in processing the applications.

My IELTS will be valid until this Sep. I did the test on Sep 2014, so I guess it should be fine even during the EE process according to the current OIPNP decision is normally made in 90 days. Or, do I need to take the test again? My best bet is that the nomination will be given to me on May, then I'll get the invitation from EE in the same month or the beginning of June. I think IELTS test only needs to be valid when you get the invitation, or it needs to be valid during the entire process?

Thanks

It needs to be valid up to the time you submit the PR application.

OINP is not at all taking 90 days right now. :) Unless you're CEC inland, IMO, the wait may be about 6 months to nomination. Check the OOPNP Acknowledgment Received thread to see November applicants don't have their AOR from OINP yet.

I AM a CEC inland:). I am applying OIPNP via CEC stream, so I guess I can get the nomination within 90 days? If not, my PGWP will expire on June:(. I really need the invitation to apply for Bridge Open Work Permit. Can I apply for BOWP even my PGWP expires? Thanks
