Hello Everyone,

Pleas help its very urgent!
So I got an ITA and I am applying for Express entry tomorrow.

All my papers are ready.

I work in Canada on PGWP with Starbucks as a Shift Supervisor.
When I was making my profile it asked for 'Do I have job Offer in Canada?'
I said Yes.

I dont have LMIA.
My job offers me full time hours and I am full time but on my Job letter that is my experience letter it doesnt show PERMANENT or NON SEASONAL words noted. It is just written I work full time 40 hours/week.

Starbucks policy is they cant write those words.

Is it fine if it doesnt mention Permanent word? I dont want my file to get rejected due to this.

Waiting for you guys reply.
Please help
Thank you in advance.

In my opinion this is correct. Only LMIA supported jobs need the words 'Permanent' and 'Non-Seasonal'.

CEC?

CEC doesn't care if you have active job offer, it only cares about previous job experiences. You should be ok as long as 1560 hours or equivalent are met.

You shouldn't have answered Yes to do I have a job offer since CIC sees jobs without LMIA not a job. But you didn't get 600 points for it I assume, you shouldn't be rejected by that either.

Read this link and you will see that a valid job offer can only be one that is affiliated with an LMIA. Your PGWP never required an LMIA, so it looks like you must answer no. I am not an expert, so rely on your own research. Good luck.

The thing is you have to answer 'Yes' even if you don't have an LMIA supported job. Otherwise you can't load a job profile and you can't submit an employer letter.

You just have to answer 'No' to the question 'Do you have an LMIA?'.

I'm not an expert either but by answering 'No' to 'do you have a job?' you may be accused of misrepresentation.

What 'mf4361' refers to is a 'Valid Job'. This is different to just having a a 'Job'.

You should only answer “Yes” to the question “Does [your name] have a job offer in Canada?” if a Canadian employer has offered you a full-time, non-seasonal job, and that job offer is supported by a Labour Market Impact Assessment.

Ok, I stand corrected. But then the job record will not appear to allow you to upload an Employment Reference Letter. Is this right? I'm thinking because 600 points were not given to varinder1717 he did the right thing. Of course I could be wrong.

Also don't you need to enter LMIA reference code to get 600 points?

You just enter the job into your employment history section.

I answered no to the job offer question and was able to submit my full employment history with documents no problem. If you answer yes, I'm was under the impression that you will also need to provide additional documents in the upload section.

The question is a little bit confusing and I imagine many people like myself have answered 'yes' to that question. What I should have done is answer 'no', as, the checklist will request a job offer letter. I amended mine after the fact to say no. Asivad advised it would be no problem (mainly because there were no points claimed).

The checklist will ask for Employment Records for all jobs which contributed points toward your CRS score. This is where you will upload your letter from your company stating your current status etc.

**edit: If you leave yes as the answer, your checklist will ask you to upload your job offer letter**

I did the following:

Do you have a job? (Yes)

Is it LMIA supported: (No)

Is it permanent/non-seasonal: (No)

I did not get 600 points. Is this an issue?

@Eucalyptus, filling out profile now as I got an ITA. How do you amend after the fact?

You will be asked for:

"Letter of Employment" and "Offer of Employment" in the upload section.

If you said no, you only need to provide the letter of employment which saves some hassle.
