Hi,
I have read that debt in UK is subject of civil matter than criminal and it should have no affect on on UK PCC ? is it affirmative ? I have noticed that posters who normally sought answers on PCC and debt never came back to the forum shared their feedback on PCC.
I have debt in UK due to credit card and mobile contracts and I moved back to my country as my visa expired and was never renewed henceforth. Its almost 6 yrs now , so if I request for PCC , will I get a clean report ? Can agency related to PCC can share by details with collection agency in case they find out that I have debts ? Can someone share facts with me.

Thanks

Thousands of pounds of credit card debt, unfulfilled mobile phone contracts etc will NEVER show up on UK Police Character Certificate. Don't worry and apply with full confidence.

You will get NO TRACE on your UK police certificate.

I am not implying that defaulting on your debts is the right thing to do.

Would Appreciate a response...Is arrest for overstaying show up in police certificate ? What do they mention on certificate in such cases ? Thanks

I think they either mention :
1. No trace : If record is clean or
2. No live trace: Something in record but not offensive.

I have applied for mine and will let you know as soon as i get hold of it .

Arrest without conviction may or may not have been recorded. The only way to know for sure whether a particular attest was formally logged on UK police systems is through a ACPO request or through a subject access request to the local police where the arrest took place.

If even it's not recorded still isn't it fair to mention in cic application if someone got arrested for minor issues? I think it should.

My wife stayed in UK for 2 months only. Do I need to take PCC for her, please confirm.

No need. If case officer ask for it specifically only than you will need to send.

If one is staying in the UK on study visa but could not register in the school or dropped out due to some personal financial problems, can it affect one's PCC. Will immigration send one's record to Police database for non-enrolment?
