Does anyone has an idea, how to get ECA for Chartered Accountant (ICAP) from Pakistan! Detail procedure will be appreciated. As far as my understanding is concerned, WES is not evaluating CA degree from Pakistan. So, the remaining option is either university of Toronto or ICAS. Has any CA got his degree attested from WES.

WES evaluates CA qualification. For an Indian CA qualification, the equivalent is a 3-year Bachelor degree in Canada.

Should we get evaluation of ACMA & M.Com before landing for education purposes?
What is current scenario w.r.to merger of CGA, CMA & CPA?

Yes WES does evaluates CA degree from Pakistan ... Mine is being evaluated and they have accepted my docs .. They will give 4 years bachelors equivalent for Pakistani chartered accountants, but do also submit SSC and HSC certificate as they require it also ...

Detail procedure is as follows:

After getting a WES reference number go to ICAP with Rs 3,000 and submit them the following five docs:
1. CA Membership certificate
2. CA Foundation Examination Certificate
3.CA Intermediate Examination Certificate
4. CA Final Examination Certificate
5. Transcript request (this form can be downloaded from WES website) .. The link is as follows:

Also while you apply to WES for credential assesment do submit SSC and HSC certificates ... If you need to know the procedure for that i will be happy to share that as well ..

Did u check the with them before applying or know someone who has alreay obtained ECA from WES for CA degree. Actually, my main concern is the fact that ICAP is not listed on WES website and they have specifically mentioned that the institute has to be listed with them.

They will provide it by first week of August (surprisingly very late due to heavy volume nowadays on WES) .. They accepted my docs relating to CA one month ago, but then asked for SSC and HSC certificate which they have now received as well ..
One of my friend who is also a Chartered Acountant is already working in Canada told me that he got it on the basis of CA and Masters (which CA members can get from HEC Pakistan) ..

To be sent directly to WES by the awarding authority. All documents must be stamped and verified by the Controller of Examination.
Attestations from persons outside the Controller of Examination and Registrar's Offices, such as individual professors or external notary publics, will not be accepted.

Therefore WES recognizes Pakistan's CA ... Hope this clarifies ... In case you need any further clarfication I will happy to share ...
