Below is my timeline for any future applicant reference

Spousal sponsorship (outland) July 2026 Applicant.
PA - EGYPT

Applied - July 13
AOR - Sep 3rd
BIL - Sep 14th
Biometrics complete - Sep 15th
Sponsor eligibility - Sep 16th (Email)
Medicals Request - Sep 29th
Medicals Given - Oct 3rd
Medicals Completed - Oct 8th
Decision made - Oct 8th
pre-arrival letter: Oct 9th
BGC complete: Oct 9th (Status changed on GCkey Oct 15)
PPR : Oct 13th
PA Eligibility: Oct 15th
Passport received: Oct 18th

So guys please help me out with this. My wife is Ukranian and I am Candian citizenship. I submitted her application on August 6 and AOR came like in 1 week. Then I got email on 10 sept to pay for biometrics i did and i got confirmation on 18th sept that they added payment to file. I got medical request around same time and we did medical as well. nothing after that also I am not able to click on view link for application on PR portal also not able to see sttaus check online. is this normal thanks ?

Any suggestions or advice appreciated.
My PA has submitted the biometrics on Sep 16th. In GC key the biometrics date has been updated on bottom section, where it says enrolment date and number. But in detailed section it still says, we need your fingerprints to process your application. Any one facing similar situation, do i have to submit webform mentioning same thing or just wait and it will updated

I would suggest waiting a little longer.

it may take some time for IRCC to provide further updates after biometrics and the medical exam. The PR Portal and online tracker can also take time to become accessible or update.

Hi,
My spouse received BIL letter for PR in 1st week of September and I had applied for her TRV with AOR the same week and got BIL for TRV on day of application itself. Since VFS allows only one appointment per candidate i could book only one Biometrics appointment. CIC site mentions that if you gave Biometric for PR application then you can use the same for TRV application and no need to give separately. So I submitted a webform to use the Biometrics given for PR to be used for TRV as well and the same was updated on the TRV application and biometrics was stated as completed. Its been more than 30 days and still there is no progress on her TRV. I called CIC and the agent told me that my spouse needs to provide biometric for TRV as it is separate from PR application. Previous agents had told me the contrary that she doesnt need to give. But since the last agent said that she needs to provide biometrics I had booked an appointment and biometrics was given again. Now am not sure which biometrics will be used for her TRV application as the one listed there is the one given for PR. Has anyone faced a similar situation of having to give biometrics twice when applying for TRV after AOR of PR application. Thank you!

This sounds confusing, especially since you received conflicting information from different IRCC agents. I would suggest submitting a web form with both application.

Well, I took it with me to VFS, but they somehow said it’s no needed

Would not compare to this case because processing was incredibly fast compared to most especially from Egypt.

Here is my timeline:
Applied date: July06, 2026
AOR: August 27,2026
Biometric letter: Sep04, 2026
Medicals: Sep08,2026
Sponsor approval: Sep08,2026
Medical completed: Sep24th, 2026
Biometric completed: Sep16th, 2026

But in GC key, in applicant information section i am seeing new biometric information like date and enrolled number, but down at detailed section still says “we have not received your fingerprints…”
I have contracted IRCC they told me quality of biometrics is not good. But they will try to process it and i should expect either new biometric letter or my biometric passed. And also they said biometrics is part of background check.
Are there any one who faced similar issue, and is there anything i can do? Apart from wait?
