I hope everyone gets approval soon
Its so crazy that they being holding files nd doing nothing no updates

I think this delay is because of large volume of applications. Like with my in laws visa last year, we got approval within a week after submitting biometric. But at the moment looks like long delays.

My application for my minor son also passed said 24 days. Idk how much longer i have to wait!
I have to complete my training in canada as well as i have dr appointment.
I think we will contact local Mp to fasten the process.

Same, I applied for my brother on May 25th. They have 54% backlog for Temporary Residence Visa’s thats the reason for delays.

IRCC was approving almost everyone with minimal scrutiny last year creating huge issues. Now they actually look at applications versus issuing blanket approvals at times. Now you either get approved/refused quickly because AI is involved or a visa officer processing it manually and they are actually reading the applications now. Rate of refusal is also much higher and no longer 10 year visas for everyone.

You can certainly try but he is undergoing normal processing time. People need to apply with much more buffer time if they have commitments to return to in Canada.
