Quick question if anybody here knows.

We had applied spousal PR for my spouse in May and back then I was on PR. In the last few weeks, I've become a citizen.

Are we supposed to update the spousal PR application through webform about the sponsor's change in status?

No harm in sending that info using the webform. I don't think it affects the application but you can still send the info. Mention that you are a citizen now and what date you got your citizenship certificate. You may as well upload a copy of the citizenship certificate.

This is just my opinion. Please do not take it as a legal advice.

Thanks, I understand it doesn't affect the application itself but concerned if the sponsor's change in status not reflected in the application could be misconstrued as misrepresentation. I know IRCC requires applicants to inform them of changes in situations for various types of applications; i just don't know if sponsor's status change from PR to citizen counts as that.

Has anyone seen any ghost updates on their PR tracker (not GCKey)? I saw a change to the Updated on date but no actual changes.

Has anyone received a BIL before getting an AOR? I submitted my application just a month ago and I got the BIL today. Checked my email and looks like I haven't got an AOR yet.

That’s weird. I got a request for some documents before I got aor and then I called to ask about it and they said I should have received aor and it came shortly after. So maybe call.

Eligibility changed to we are reviewing your eligibility from not started on gc key
I saw a change in the Updated On date on the PR tracker but nothing really changed on either the tracker or the GC Key. Don't know what to make out of it.

Biometrics updated about 1hr after on PR app tracker as completed today: Aug 21 2024
Eligibility: COMPLETED Oct 24 2024
Prearrival letter sent to PA Oct 24 2024
Medicals not requested yet....

Biometrics completed: August 22, 2024.

Still no AOR or anything :-/

It keeps getting weirder: today I received the Pre-arrival letter - and still no AOR, which means I still can't apply for OWP nor health coverage.

So my (strange) timeline is:
Applied: May 17, 2024
Biometrics invitation: August 21
Biometrics completed: August 22
Pre-Arrival letter: October 26

In your experience, does the pre-arrival letter mean anything substantial?
