If you are applying for a TRV from inside Canada, then the applicant is in Canada. It is processed from where you are living. If applying on behalf of someone, it is still processed from the person’s home country.

Seems like keh kar lunga everywhere hihihihi

Just keep it as simple as you can with all the details that you want to convey to the visa officer. Don't go over 2 pages. It's like a guide book where you will be telling them what is your purpose of calling them, what you are attaching as proofs for both yourself and your parents. If you are not working, I would suggest you and your husband both invite the parents and mention both your details in the letter. That is what I did as me and my husband both are working but I will be soon going on mat leave.

Biometric invite honestly is automated I feel. I got the invite same day I applied for my mother. Since then still waiting. Applied Sept 10th and nothing has moved besides biometric being marked completed.

Hi, question for all. I did not do upfront medical for my mother and applied the application without that. I am assuming that I will be invited by IRCC to do the medical for her at some point.
I tried to have my mom get the Upfront medical done after the file was submitted but the panel physician said that they should wait for the officer to invite for medical now and not do upfront.

i wanted to know if it makes sense to wait for the invite or should I get the upfront medical done to save time?

Mother's Supervisa timeline, applied from India -

Application submitted: Sep 3
Biometrics Request: Sep 4
Biometrics Done: Sep 7
Biometrics Completed on Portal: Sep 30

And no update since then. I am a bit concerned about a few things. I haven't had my mother's medicals done upfront, a lot of people seem to have done this, I'm not sure if this will have an impact on her application. Second, why did the biometrics take 23 days to get updated on the portal? Is that normal? And finally, is the application even moving forward after biometrics, given the current political situation? How exactly will I know that the next steps are happening? What exactly will be the signs on the IRCC portal application dashboard? Just a bit worried.

I am on same boat as you. Dint do upfront medical for my mother and biometric invite came same day I applied and was updated in 2 days. Sometimes the delay could be from VFS and not IRCC.
To give you some hope, I checked my file today and the eligibility has changed to "we are reviewing your application now". Looks like someone got assigned to my file

Thanks :) much appreciated, needed that hope. What's your timeline, if I may ask?

Sept 10th I applied.
Just received a medical exam request for my mother. Is this a good sign? When I was applying for my own PR, they used to say - if you received a medical request you can start partying :) Not sure if that's true in the case of SuperVisa applications as well.

More likely they won’t request for medical if applicant doesn’t pass initial assessment.
As long your mother clear medical I don’t see any issue getting visa.

Congratulations!! Good thing that they are working on the files given the current situation.

Looks like your and mine file is being processed either by same officer or location. Got medical invite for my mom as well just now. Lol
