No need for research, if he is saying 80% then it is 80%. Who cares about metrics.
That's exactly what I want to understand, why does 27% feel like 80% to folks? For the context over all Canadian citizens/PRs with India heritage in Canada are (perhaps) less than 5 and certainly less than 7-8%.

When you see more Indian faces in a white dominated country it will obviously feel 80%...
I think there is more to this than color of skin. Depending upon where you are, you can see a lot of Asian faces in Canada too.

P.s. Canadian CPI inflation at 4%, accelerated from 3.6% last month.
Ah man! I hope now Modi does not stop sending wheat flour and basmati rice now. Had a lot of trouble last year and this year. I HATE non-Indian rice, it never feels right in texture and taste. And flour.... Less is said the better. Get ready for some pricey food again if you eat Indian food!

Also, this is not the first time world has seen hard times and it is probably right now at the same level of hardship of what people faced during great depression or even during two world wars.
I most humbly disagree.

One of the major stupidities of Great Depression was burning wheat to keep its prices from falling while massive number of people were dying of starvation. We are no where near that point and thanks to globalisation, we will likely not reach that point.

How about they stop all immigration from India for the next 15 years to allow other nationalities to catch up?

Something is not right when over 80% of new immigrants are coming from one single country.
Poor argument. It is an equally open front for all. It is weird that you think "allow other nationalities" should be an option. What do you want Canada to do, it isn't that they aren't allowing other nationalities to land? Do you want them to lower the bar for others?

Advocate for competencies, rather than nationalities.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/express-entry-year-end-report-2021.html

From Table 40: Around 40% - 50% have Indian citizenship.

Why do Indians like to emigrate? I mean compared to China with roughly the same number of people, the proportion of Indians coming to Canada is 5x to 8x more from the report. Not a fair comparison because IELTS is definitely easier for Indians compared to Chinese.

It looks like Canada has entered into a conflict with India. Reason seems to be killing of a freedom fighter or terrorist depending on which country levels accusations
Will JT and MM atleast man up now and use this opportunity to kick some of the junkie Lamdas back to India?
Canada and India have been in conflict from decades. Trudeaus have always done minority voter appeasement and this is nothing new. We're listening to words of a man dumb enough to not know he brought a most wanted terrorist (which he fully agreed on) to India back in 2016.

About kicking lambdas or deltas out, let's stop pretending. Canada needs them to make money. It is bullshit to assume that it is not the case. They know exactly who they are bringing in. They are lowering the requirements for exams for these students too. Let's stop saying this bullshit that international students are the ONLY reason Canada is fucked (if it is!). They are yet again bringing in 900k students.

I don't think Canada can kick out anyone they issued visas too. The legal consequences alone will be too bad. Any motion for discovery will fuck IRCC up for years.

India sends only 27% of immigrants/PRs.

For my own research, I want to know why did you say 80% are from India?
Your link only mentions landed PR's.

There are many other categories such as international students, visa overstayers, work permit holders, etc.

Those spots are massively absorbed by Indians.

As I said in the past in this same forum, this is nothing against Indians, I would think the same way if instead of India it was Cameroon, New Zealand, etc.

40-50% of HIGH SKILLED IMMIGRANTS ONLY admitted via express entry. NOT the entire immigration (which has an equally large family sponsored component). NOT the percentage of total PR/Citizens in Canada.

Just a small correction for you. Those are called temporary residents and NOT immigrants.

Why do you like to immigrate? The reasons for Indians are not too far off.

And lets not forget sometimes back Chinese were the majority of immigrants coming to Canada. Indians are now coming in higher numbers because they are younger than Chinese and they are now rich enough to immigrate.
