They have open days each Wednesday and highlighted it
One of my friends was in a rush and he went to the embassy they sent it the next day
If you are in a rush you can try this option good luck

Received: June 7, 2023
Got the PCC in less than 24 hours after sending email to CGI
Few suggestions:
# Make sure the details filled in the PCC application 100% matches the passport. I had to refill all the details as I made a small mistake. Fortunately, the BLS pointed the mistake and suggested a new application.
# Once you receive Initiation of Police verification email, send someone to the assigned police station in India
# Sending email to CGI if the status is stuck does help I believe.
We selected wrong police station while filling the application. Now our application status is showing " police verification is not cleared, under review with Indian Embassy counsulate." Its been same status for 3 weeks now. We are not able to guage the details of the situation.
Also dropped mail to pcc.toronto but no response yet.
Can anyone share any knowledge about further steps.
I finally got my PCC today!
June 15 - Second email to pcc Toronto, this time I CC the other important people too.
June 20 - Replied back saying status changed
June 20 - CGI status changed to "Police Clearance Certificate has been printed"
BLS Status:
June 20 - In transit
June 21 - Dispatched via courier
June 22 - PCC received

Can someone please advise on what the diff stages in PCC process
I applied on 19th June at Brampton in person.
Status still shows - PCC application along with fee details have been received. The same is under processing at the Embassy/Consulate
Do they update the status regularly ?
Where should I be checking the status on BLS Website or passportindia.gov.in ?
I haven't received any emails from either BLS or passportindia ? Do thy send any emails on the status of the application ?
How long do they take to send it to local India police station ?

I am currently facing issue with my PCC application. I applied on June 10 at brampton bls, I received an email on June 17 stating my application has reached to local police station but when my parents contacted local police station they stated that they haven't received my file yet. My status currently shows "pcc application is under review at indian embassy/consulate" . Please can someone help in this situation and guide me is it normal and what should I do next?

The same thing happened to me, my application got sent to the wrong police station (the local area names were similiar to be honest). So first of all I raised a sampark query on the cgi toronto website and came to know from the response as to which police station received my file. If you have any friends or family in India, they will need to visit the police station where your file was sent and get them to transfer the file to the correct police station. The wrong police station will literally have your physical file in front of them. Its a major hassle. Once the file is transferred, they should then revisit the original police station (allow for 3-4 days for the file to be moved in person) and they could clear it for you.
If you want to avoid all this hassle, my suggestion is to re-submit a fresh application and make sure the police station selected is correct. The money is nothing compared to the headaches. By the way, in my case the file got transferred in 2-3 days and then I had a friend call the police station and visit them with all the aadhaar/passport copies and a letter in local language explaining why I will be grateful for the clearance at the earliest. Finally it got done in 7-8 days from there on.
Hello From which emaild ID did u recieve this email. I did a walkin application on 19th JUNE and i didnt recieve any emails
It takes some time to process, you have to wait. Check on earlier posts on this thread for other members timelines. It will take 10-15 days for the the status to change to "In process" at the Passport website. The BLS website is not updated initially, only in last stages. You should have someone from your home/family/friends in india to visit the local police station with a copy of your passport, and other home/personal identity proofs so that clearance can be started at the local police station in India.

You will get police verification email on your personal email or email you mentioned in form .
