I applied for visitor visa last week and did biometrics today May 30, 2023. I discovered that I made mistake in my application.

Can I withdraw my visa application today?

What is the mistake? You can send a webform and explain

You can also withdraw but that would take time as well

My elder brother helped me to fill out the application form online, but I later discovered after I did biometrics today May 30, 2023, that most of the information he filled out for me are not correct. I am not married, but he filled out married instead of a common-law relationship. I was denied a UK visa before, but he doesn't declare this. I found out about all these after I did my biometrics.

Can I cancel/withdraw the application then wait and reapply after cancellation?

What reason will I give for the visa application withdrawal?

Those are significant / material misrepresentations. I would personally do two things asap: (1) request to withdraw the application; (2) send a webform correcting these errors.

Regardless of who completed the application, you are responsible for the information it contains.

I want to send a request to withdraw the application, but what reason or reasons should I give?

Say there are errors in your application or something like that. Honestly, the words don't matter that much. You want to get this request submitted ASAP so that IRCC doesn't find these misrepresentations before you notify them. Don't wait a minute longer. Get the requests in now.

Hello please I need help before I submit my new Canada application.

I applied for Canada study permit in 2021 through an agent but I found out the agent used a fake bank statement so I withdraw the application to avoid a ban. Now I want to reapply Do I mention the fake bank statement used in my withdrawn application or not??? Please advice

nope. common sense. Say your agent made some errors on the application hence you would like to withdraw the application and reapply again.

Thank you for your reply. I already withdrew the application. That was in January 2022 but I now want to submit a new application now. In this new application, do I need to mention the false bank statement in the application I withdrawn or I shouldn’t mention it?

since they have not made the final decision before you withdrew and 1.5 year is a long time to change and maintain your financial statements legally. Anyways, your financial statements should be logical and source of funds should be displayed clearly on your bank statements. For example, my monthly salarly is shown on my bank statement clearly and my company name as a sender. Also, daily expenses show that it is my own money and did not borrow it from someone else for a visa purpose.

In short, you should not mention it. May I know what exactly did you show in your false bank statements and how it is corrected now in your current bank statements?

The false bank statement was supposedly for my dad who was my sponsor but after I withdrew the application I decided to build my funds legitimately in my account and apply again which I have done in the last 1 year and 5 months. I now have legitimate funds in my personal account to funds my studies in Canada. I am about to put in a new study permit application but I don’t know if I should mention the previous false bank statement which is why I decided to post my questions here for advice on what I should do.

you are not the only one who forgot to mention this critical information. It is your responsiblity to mention all refusals truthfully. All these 5 countries (Australia, UK. USA, Canada and NZ share immigration and criminal information). I am not sure if you can overcome this 5 year ban.

It falls under misrepresentation and lying.
