Hi Everyone,

I got the invitation. I have started my PCC process. Went to BLS today. No luck for walkin. People there were standing there since 5:30 AM. What you guys suggest should try my luck tomorrow 5:30 am. Or should I book pickup/drop off service. 50 dollars doesn’t matter I want the process to be quick. And there are no appointments available for next 2 months so its either walk in or pickup drop off. Please suggest

Hi Sahil, welcome to the group. I would suggest you to go forward with pick up and drop off option.

meantime please apply for your PR with the PCC application form and explanation letter. Because in my case it took me 5 weeks to get PCC in my hand. I applied for it when OINP changes to the "assessment" stage. But the processing was fast.

Now they say it would take up to 2 months to get PCC. So please be aware of the timeline and proceed with PR application.

Also keep in mind that BLS will open some slots if anything comes available (if there are any cancellations). This will happen at a particular time of the day, I think its afternoon between 1 and 3 pm. (not entirely sure.) So keep checking the BLS appointment booking page.

The reason I am saying this, because I checked for the slots in the morning and saw that it was fully booked for the next entire month and when I checked later (after few days) different time, I saw some slots available for the very next week. So there is a possibility.

Hey Sam, thanks for the advice. Shouldn't I wait for my PCC before submitting it? Also, have you got your medical done beforehand?

Of course you can wait. But Keep in mind of the processing time for PCC. They say up to 2 months (60 days) and we only have 60 days to submit the application for PR. So just keep this mind.

Yeaah, I am scared. Somebody got in 30 days, but still scared. What about medical? You got it done already?

Also if you are ready to go to any extend then, I have this crazy idea of getting it from Winnipeg. :D They have time slots for next week and the processing times will be much faster than here.
Check out Flair or Lynx airlines. They have tickets for as cheap as 37 bucks one way. (I booked one to calgary next months, :) )
Spent 100 dollars and get it.

Just saying that there is this option available.

Yes I got my medicals. I did both medicals and PCC in 2021 November expecting an invitation. PCC got expired, had to apply for the new one. But medical, you can use anything within the last 5 years. So, I used that one.

Hi Guys,
I have not sent my application yet, I need to take my upfront medical first which is tomorrow, and I'm getting reference letters for the employers in my country. Since I'm claiming points for those jobs I need those letters.

Hi Andre. Welcome. Please share your timelines once you applied and all the best for all your document gathering process. Thanks.
