Expert advice needed on LMIA Work Permit Timeline

Need help estimating the PPR timeline for the following case. Country of origin is Pakistan and the visa office is Abu Dhabi.

The LMIA was GSS but medical wasn't completed upfront.

LMIA Received: 27th November 2022
Submission: 25th January 2023
Biometrics Requested: 25th January 2023
Biometrics Completed: 27th January 2023
Medical requested: 26th January 2023
Medical passed: 3rd February 2023

Current status: Reviewing eligibility, processing background check, application in progress.

Thank you. Would not having done a medical upfront, exclude the case from being processed in the 2-week timeline? Even though it was done in a week after submission.

It's pretty rare for GSS applications to be processed in 2 weeks these days. IRCC itself says that most applications are taking longer than two weeks right now due to application volumes. Be prepared for a wait of a few months - although you may get lucky of course and get a response sooner. The fact you did the medical a week after submitting really doesn't impact this. IRCC is dealing with high application volumes and that's creating delays. Good luck and hopefully you'll hear something soon.

Makes sense. Thank you. I'm guessing it's a waiting game for now.

You better request for your GCMS notes asap.IRCC officers can be funny at times, they might be requesting for a document(s) which they won't update in your portal for you to respond. The next action from them is what you and I will not like.

Submission of applications:30/12/2022
Biometric instruction letter collection:30/12/2022
Biometric completed:30/01/2023
Eligibility: reviewing
Background check: in processing
Final decision: application in progress
