I had question regarding background dec form. So if you worked during school ( study permit ) and using that experience under stream B non- healthcare would u add working experience too along with studying in the personal history section.
for example 2020-08 - 2021 02 I worked and studied but I was on study permit . Should I only mention study permit or both under 20 hrs work and study.

TR to PR under essential worker application updates as of 2023

Hey Guys, how are you doing? I just want to share about my experience regarding this stream. This is only how I been through so please do not hate me. passed my application last July 2021. since then no updates and some of my friends said they they got the updates, do the biometrics etc... and soon they said they got their PR approval. Due to self pity and frustration I left Canada on April 2022 and on July 2022 I renewed my work permit and a few days later after that, I received an update to link my application. on October I got a renewal of my PGWP and comeback here in Canada on November and on December I got another update to do Biometric and as of February 2023, I received again an updates from IRRC to submit my 2020 NOA and paystubs, now I changed company and I don't have those paystubs anymore since we can only download it thru a portal which my previous company used. Now the company is not using it anymore, I tried to called them but they said they will do their best to give me a copy which I don't know when. Since IRRC ask me to pass the documents with in 7 working days, which is impossible for me to provide, so I just did a letter of explanation and attached those emailed conversation with my previous company.
does anyone had experience like mine? please i need an honest opinions since i been thru a lot of frustrations, those friends of mine saying that they got their PR already when I ask them they don't give an honest answers so i don't know if they really got their PR already or just bubbling. thank you and goodluck!
They asked for NOA only so you need to send the NOA you may have been received it in mail after filing tax return in 2021 or you can log in to your CRA account to download it from there make sure print scan and upload after downloading or screenshot and save.
If they requested paystub send them T4 of all companies where you work in 2020 you can download T4 from CRA account and explain them about paystub only if they asked for paystubs otherwise your good as long as your amount of earnings matches the hourly rate and number of hours as an essential worker.

I have received PR and was a student while working a non-healthcare Stream B NOC, just like you. Since I turned 18 in Canada, my status has always been as a Student (with an Open Work Permit limited to 20 hours/week while attending school, longer on breaks & in summer). I filled out my forms as a 'Student/Worker' for everything because that was my 'status' even though on summer breaks I was only 'working'. So 8) on my Personal History looked something like this, with some areas of overlap but no gaps:
FromToActivityCity or town and country or territoryStatus in country or territoryName of company, employer, School, facility, as applicable
2019-10Current (2021-06)Order Filler(City), CanadaStudent/Worker(Company name)
2019-092021-04Student(City), CanadaStudent/Worker(School name)
2019-052019-09Front Desk(Town), CanadaStudent/Worker(Hotel name)
...
...

@ace51 you can also ask IRCC for some more time if you think you need an extension. I would try to provide NOAs, T4s, and try your employer again for paystubs but if you continue to have difficulties, you can also go to a Service Canada office and request copies of your ROEs (Records of Employment) some times called 'pink slips'. Your employer should have provided them to you when you left the job (so you can also ask your old employer for a copy) but you can also request them for free from Service Canada. You will need proper ID & your SIN number.
Your ROE will contain "details about the employee's work history with your organization, including insurable earnings and insurable hours."

Status supposed to be study permit which would be more accurate.

Yes, technically Study Permit is accurate but since you can have a Study Permit and not be authorized to work, I chose to say 'Student/Worker' to make it clear that my Study Permit authorized me to work. I think either option will work. My application was approved without any requests for ADR's. Just sharing what I did. Best wishes!

I uploaded without the worker history during school and only mentioned study. This was requested upload. Now I can’t make changes as it is already uploaded . How can I submit again ?

IRCC may figure it out by themselves when they review your paystubs, T4s, NOAs, but I would submit a Letter of Explanation (and new form) to indicate that you were confused about how to record your employment history while you were also a student and you want to now supply an updated version of the form to make sure there is no confusion. I would submit it by webform as soon as you can.

Yes, I received it on the 23rd of February after uploading my passport and address. Please do you know the documents to send to VFS because I want to know the next step.

Thanks a lot! I uploaded the updated version via Webform. Should I call IRCC after few days to make sure it is linked to my application? Thanks a lot again!

It can take awhile for them to review webforms, so I would follow up through the call centre. Some call centre agents have been kind enough to send a message to the appropriate area to draw their attention to certain matters. I don’t know if they will, but it can’t hurt to ask. Best wishes!
