Hello,

wasn't total amount deducted was $1135?
Yes, thanks for asking. I don’t want to confuse anyone. If you had not yet provided Biometrics, or they had expired, you should have also paid the $85 Biometrics fee, bringing the total to $1135. I only needed to pay $1050 because my Biometrics were still valid.

IRCC requested an updated Schedule A form for me and my dependent. The new version of this form is validated electronically so the slot I upload to doesn't accept scanned documents which means I can't combine the two documents together. they gave me one slot only so I can't upload both forms. What do I do?
Please help me guys I'm struggling.

You should reply advising IRCC about the change in your status and they will let you know the next steps and advise on which documents are required. Depending on what they instruct you to do, it may cause a delay in your landing as they will need to process the documents for your spouse (if requested). How long have you been married, my reason for asking is because IRCC explicitly states that we must notify them immediately of any change in your status (married, birth of kids, change in address etc).
I would suggest you start making plans to complete a medical and PCC for your spouse in the mean time so you’re ready when they request them. (Just a suggestion and not advice)

I just received a letter to complete A separate and newly completed Schedule A Background Declaration (IMM 5669) form bearing an original signature with updated personal, address and travel history since the age of 18 with no gaps in addresses or activities. E

It is best to be honest. Follow advice that has already been given to you and recently again by @El_Jefe. Provide a reasonable explanation similar to what you’ve been explaining in this thread—you were confused about the process, doing some research, getting advice, gathering documents and/or whatever you think best explains your situation.
