Just want to share my timeline for Supervisa applications from China:

Submitted Application: Nov 11 2022
Medical Passed: Jan 11 2023 (Nov 17 2022 for the other parent, some conditions require multiple visits to the clinic over few weeks for the medical to be completed. IRCC will send email to let you know if multiple visits are required after the initial medical visit)
Passport Request Letter and biometric validity letter received: Jan 31 2023

We did the medical upfront and biometric was from a previous unsuccessful application.

Strongly suggest people to have their parents do the medical while helping them prepare for the application before submission.
Can you confirm if you applied on old portal or new portal?

Hi, I applied for my mom’s super visa on 2nd November. She already has a visitor visa so previous biometric was updated. There is no further movement. Should i get her medical done upfront? Will that speed up the process. I see many people applied in December and already got ppr. Is there some issue with my application?
Update:
Applied: 2nd November, 2022
Biometric: 3rd November, 2022 (from previous application
Medical Request: 30th January, 2023
PPR received today

Congratulation peng yo! Wo yao wenti. Can you please indicate if at any stage the application ETA for completion date was updated? Would be grateful if you can share a censored screenshot of their portal page.
No, we still don't have a estimated completion date even after receiving the passport request letter. lol I don't know why they even bother having this feature.

@shlfung, I like your idea about upfront medical. I am planning to apply supervisa for my parents around 10th of March. Should I ask them to go for medical right away i.e., around 1 month before the actual application. My parents are going to visit Canada on any kind of visa for the first time. so IRCC does not have any record about this. In this case if multiple visits are required how IRCC will contact them? Basically, can you guide me on the upfront medical for supervisa.
I don't know which country are you applying from, so the system maybe different.

There is a list of IRCC approved places to do the medical for China on IRCC's website. You have to do the medical at these locations. When I sign up for appointment at the website of the approved location in Shenyang China, it asks for phone number (I put my in laws local numbers) and email (I used mine, but I purposely used an email that I did not use for the IRCC portal).

Few weeks after my father-in-law did the medical, I received an email from IRCC, asking we must contact the medical centre to follow up for additional testing. My father-in-law called the test clinic, and they told him what is going on and when to come back for the test.

Everything is linked to his UCI.

Super Visa for my parents applied last week. Upfront medical submitted for both, but for my mother clinic requested for additional tests - we completed those tests and clinic may send result IRCC in 6 weeks.

1. I am wondering if my father's application can be processed individually or has to wait for my mother's medical.
2. Has anyone gone through additional tests - would it add more delay on the application?
Yes there will be delay. IRCC will wait for your mother's medical to be done before processing your father's application.

My father in law completed his additional medical on Dec 27 2022, IRCC marked this medical passed on Jan 11 2023. This is in China. We get passport request letter for both my mother and father in law 20 days after father's medical passed

Hi everyone,
I am filling out the supervisa application for my mom, I noticed that when Iput a duration of visit less than 6 months, the only supporting document requested is proof of income(child/grandchild) but when I increase the duration to over 6 months, there was an additional place holder to add Proof of funds ( requesting for actual funds if she's isn't then paying or money in her acct etc if she's is the one paying for her visit).

My question is: must the duration be over 6 months for supervisa? She may stay for more than 6 months at a later time.

Hi,

I got my Mother's Super visa but on visa it says, V-1 which is the visitor visa category.
I ask CIC and they said she can stay up to 5 Years, but on the visa, it says it will expire on Jan 24, before 2 days of my mother's passport expires.

I don't know what to do.. I wanted my mom to stay more with me ... No idea if Pakistan Embassy in Canada will renew my mother's passport? or i need to send her back to pakistan before passport expires?

Please share your ideas ?
