Hello All,
I am an Ottawa paper based applicant, I applied on Oct 20th, BCG completed on Jan 31st. After that there has been no update, radio silence. I have tried raising GCMS notes, multiple follows up to MP but no go. Is there any one else in the same boat? I see many individuals are reporting superb progress. Please let me know if there is anything else we can do or if I am the only one alone in this situation?

I'm in the same boat. Since Jan 17, there has been no update on my file. I received 2 GCMS notes and my application status was not started on both. not sure what we can do to follow up. It is very frustrating to know everyone else who applied after you get oath ceremony invites and your application is still nowhere near the start.
Hi all, does anyone know what will happen now with the official documents since now the king will be in reign. I saw in the news on Friday that they will be changing every official documents. So does anyone know how it will affect us?
Most applicants in Ottawa are in the same boat. I hear that the office in Ottawa is overwhelmed with work. Hence, it is one of the slowest offices in the country at the moment.
If you did not submit the copy of all pages of passport with your online application, you may get this request. Many online applicants missed submitting copies of all pages of passport valid during eligibility period, not really due to their fault. The instruction guide instructs to include it in the application, but the online application does not prompt for it.
Noticing the discrepancy, I uploaded copies of all pages of my passports under "other documents" at the end of the application. I anticipated if I didn't they would ask for it.
Access to Information and Privacy.... In other words, request of GCMS notes. Interesting to see they received test invite 15 days after their GCMS notes request. Coincidence?
@manmoi31 did you get your fingerprint request before or after you requested GCMS notes? If after, how long after?

I waited so long to get a test invite and got that at the end of August. A friend of mine has been waiting along with their families to take the oath since February 2022. He applied back in 2020. Ottawa is the slowest office in Canada, and I agree with the statement.
I received after requesting GCMS notes. It was around 15 days or so. However, I still did not receive my GCMS notes its going to be 2 months in few days.

This is the third time I am hearing of action taking place on a person's file 15 days after request of GCMS notes. Maybe the pattern points to actual causality.
I have 3 more days to go before I cross 15 days. Hopefully I see some action too!

I too have heard Ottawa is very slow. I think it is beaten only by those whose file is in Sydney CPC

Been quietly following this forum for a while. Yesterday I got a request to submit a photocopy of my Health card/Driver License in the next 5 days, I don't think I have seen that request in the past. Has anyone been asked for this? The email seems to come from the same CIC email addresses I have received in the past and includes my application # but the email is a bit sketchy.
Background check is completed since July.
Any insight is appreciated.
