TRV From Inside Canada - Normal Processing Time Has Passed

ICT WP extension approved 19 Aug 2022. TRV & WP expired 20 Aug 2022.

Planning to apply TRV extension within Canada. I see many paper applications in the forum.

Please suggest which method has less processing time? paper? or online?

Please provide list of docs and steps to apply paper application.

The 15 days processing time for online applications shouldn't be trusted. Some folks applied after August 5th and they're still waiting.

If I were you, I'd send a paper application only because I can include my passport in its own return envelope and skip the 14-20 days processing time for the passports. It's risky but it's better than waiting.

Can original passport included along w/ application packet when mailing application initially?

Don't need to wait for PPR request? Application checklist says not to include until PPR request.

Please dont do that though because i called them a week ago and they said never do that as it may get lost. Only send passport when they ask for it. NOT with your application form. Thank God they did not lose mine.
Total time it took: 1 month and 7 days door to door.

Here's a recent applicant who sent their passport along their application, in case you were in a rush. Otherwise just go for an online application which is simple and easy, but plan an additional 2-3 weeks once they receive your passport for you to have it back.

Hi there,im so worried about my passport application.(ive applied online) So i got my passport request on 19th,and it was delivered to recipient's delivery partner on 23rd. I cannot check if they recieved it,because i didnt get any notification. It's been more than two weeks, and I still don't know when I'll get my passport, I don't even know if the counterfoil was generated or not. How can i check it? :(

Will be there be any notification for Counterfoil generation for paper based TRV application? My passport was received by them on Aug 24 and no relevant emails since then. But I got one email for travel restrictions yesterday.
