Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2021

Hello,

I hope I can get some help, please.

I submitted my parent's application on Dec 06, 2022. This Monday I received the AOR requesting this:

Please note that the following documentation will be required for your sponsorship application to determine whether you meet the minimum necessary income requirements to sponsor a parent or grandparent. In order to minimize processing delays, if not already included in your application, please obtain and submit as soon as possible:

 A completed and signed authorization form – IMM 5768 - Financial Evaluation for Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship providing your Social Insurance Number.

o If you selected “Yes” to the Statement of Consent on this form and provided your Social Insurance Number, you authorize IRCC to request information from Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) in regards to your, or the cosigner’s (if applicable), income tax information for the three consecutive years immediately preceding the received date of your application.

OR

o If you selected “No” to the Statement of Consent on this form then you would need to provide in addition, a completed form - IMM 5748 - Income Sources for the Sponsorship of Parents and Grandparents and an original OPTION C-Printout for the three consecutive years immediately preceding the received date of your parents and grandparents sponsorship application. This document is not the same as the Notice of Assessment and the Option C available on your My Account. The Option C document is available free of charge by calling the CRA. To obtain this document please call CRA at 1-800-959-8281.

This is the AOR, I sent the same form I submitted at the beginning, I checked it and everything is ok. I submitted it via web form, because there was no email to reply to.

Can somebody help me when am I going to be able to link the application to the portal? I tried today and there was just a no found error.

Try after 3 weeks. for me it took three weeks to link the application after AOR.

I did the f12 trick earlier today and the status had finally changed to 10.
Checked again a couple of hours later and it went back to 7, and also certain fields were missing. The email of the case officer is no longer there, and other info is missing as well.

same thing s happened for me as we;;. was completed from April 28 but today backed to submitted and 7.

1. Once they are here update their address through webform.
2. When their address is updated they will get letter for virtual landing.
3. They don't need to send their passport for stamping.

Many thanks for your reply. This is great information, Just to clarify, so once we get the letter for virtual landing, we can apply for PR Card, OHIP etc...by vising a Service Canada Centre? Again really appreciate your valuable suggestion.

This is in relation to my Parents sponsorship application, they are based in India. My parents completed their medical, Biometrics etc by 3rd week of May, I understand it may get 2-3 months for us to receive the request for Passport submission or any sort of update. My parents already have their Visitor Visa to Canada, I am just wondering if they travel before they get the passport submission request, could they submit their passport for stamping in Canada, incase we receive the passport submission request while they are on visit in Canada, any advise is appreciated.

I was asked to resend my IM1344, while filling it out, I am unable to key in the 10 digit UCI number. Any suggestions on how to tackle this issue. I would like to know on how to upload the documents in GC key portal

Mine is back to 7 too. I guess its because they are done with the completeness check at the CPC Mississauga office and assigned it to the Visa officer based on the country of residence. The case officer that worked on the completeness check would no longer be the same person to continue with it so the email is no longer valid. As long as you are able to link in the GC Key portal, then its a waiting game for the next steps.

You can read more on virtual landing in this forum. loads of info. And settlement subforum has more info about things to do for new PRs.
Briefly answer your questions:
PR card process starts once virtual landing is finished. there is no need to apply separately, same as the process of physical landing at an airport.
Service ontario handles OHIP. The wait period is waived so I think the hurdle now is proof of address in ontario. if they are about to arrive better work on that first.
Service canada is not involved, not if you don't want to apply SIN.

I received what looks like an AOR today, with some stuff about IMM 5786 or Option C to be sent if not done before (I had sent it with my application, so nothing to do I guess). Nothing on the medical, PCC or biometric front.

Thank you so much for sharing the link! I tried it over the last couple of weeks but didn't work.
I followed the instruction in the link step by step and finally worked.
My issue was I always put the number of family members as 1 instead as I only sponsored my single parent, but when I put 2 it worked.

Yeah same here, case officer email info is gone but no update to documents as only a few have been checked , status still 7 !
I guess they updated the Portal as it shows option to apply for PR card as well now

No. I got informed by the Service Canada office (I did in Canada) that no further action is required in regard to the biometrics. I was able to see the updated biometrics info about a week later.

Hi Guys..please HELP or clarify..I submitted application for my parents in Dec 4 2021 and today I received email just saying please check portal for your application status has been updated.." generic email.
I logged in and checked the STATUS shows RETURNED and some of the forms shows INCOMPLETE..but no way to resubmit or any details what to do..ANYONE experienced this, please advice..
