$700 for how many days??
And how are you planning to get a job and long term resident??
We need to provide an address for PR card right, which address did you give there??
Sorry for questioning too much
700 for a month
I gave an acquaintance address in Ontario didn't have an issue with that
Plan for the job -that is a very complicated question I heard networking is everything so I will adopt 3 strategies ,first apply for small jobs for survival because I don't want to finish my savings preferably this shouldbe in a warehouse, make as many connections I can in linked in that helped me in houston ,apply in indeed .
No need for apologies for a valid question, that is why we are all here for to help each other.

Landed in calgary today, from my first day(too early to say) the city looks like a ghost town (for the 4th biggest city in canada),people seems nice and helpful.

Landed first in Vancouver, like kangaroo said Asians everywhere(mostly Korean not Chinese), missed the connection flight as expected but they took care of it.

Try to avoid delhi airport it is too crowded, took me 3-4 hrs to board the flight.

Immigration-self declaration in the kiosk then pass the first counter where they will seal your declaration that you printed from kiosk. Then proceed to Immigration, for God sake I repeat for what ever reason don't jump the line ,someone tried to do that the officer sitting in the counter yelled at him.so don't do that what ever the situation may me.Once you go to a ne arrival (Immigration office) there is a staff he will collect your address then tell it will take 3-4 months to get pr card ,after that wait in the line the officer will ask the std questions and will sign the copr.
I was not asked about the goods to follow as i am couriering it from US/POF
Officers are nicer when compared to USICS
But they are not very cool the guy in front of me got roasted, I seriously think they wouldn't allow him in because they were not convinced his business plan was legitimate, I was really surprised to see that (when I thought about 75 crs draw)
Welcome finally to Canada! I pray your life here will be fruitful and joyful.

Hi folks,

I have been facing the issue of profile being ineligible for the last few days. I have tried multiple times for creating new profile, but each time when I transmit and submit the information, it shows the message that I do not meet the requirements (even when I'm eligible enough).

For better idea, my profile details are:

Age: 33
Married
Education
: Masters
Ielts: 8.5, 8, 7.5, 7 (L-R-S-W)
Work exp.: 4-5 years (employed + self employed)
NOC: 0213, 2173
Sibling in Canada

No prior refusal..

Kindly help if any one has encountered the same error. Thanks

Can you share how much experience you have in each NOC?

Yeah, country cap defeats any merit-based purpose at some point. But at the same time no cap defeats demographic balance which I believe is just as important. A variable country cap could balance between the two. Like if the majority of apps are from a particular country, that country could be given a bit higher cap than the others. Or maybe the caps could be based on country + NOC and adjusted accordingly.
If the conservative party will win the next election (I believe they will no matter what because Canadians like to switch) country caps will be introduced and applied, and possibly the immigration numbers will be reduced considerably.

Plus, if IRCC achieves its goal of having control of the NOCs they can invite and Quebec being awarded almost complete autonomy in the processing of their immigration files, they wont need country caps at all.

I also believe that French will become even more important for immigration, so to any future immigrant, learn French and excel in English.

Lastly, I can guarantee that an overwhelming amount of outland applicants that have waited so long for their PPR and the ones waiting to receive an ITA for (including me) will become die-hard conservatives once they land.

Lol. Keep dreaming. No sane party would do that in the 21st century. The only reason the US has it is because it was introduced at a time when xenophobia/racism was common and now they're stuck in a status quo to get rid of it.

I hope so. French blocks a lot of foreigners out so this would be a natural regulator in demographics.

This has always been true, but yeah it will be more prominent.

Well, if its not going to be introduced explicitly, it will be done indirectly.

Just follow the political scene and you will understand. Why do you think an unlimited number of Ukranians (European, mostly Orthodox - Christian) could apply for urgent visitor visa and be eligible for an open work permit as soon as they land, leading to become certain Canadian PRs in the future ? To counter balance the immigrants from Asia - Africa. 100k+ approved so far and I believe they will reach up to 300k by the years end, equally to a whole year of federal immigration quotas.

Additionally, if the political party in power decides to increase the French language points to say 60, there will be a lot of future candidates whol will just give IELTS for the sake of getting CLB 7 and focus on French. No to mention if they decide to handle French draws, thats a different case completely which will balance the immigration stream even further.

You see, there are lots of ways that you can inderectly put a cap on country quotas.
