I am out side of Canada and due to circumstances I missed my test invite and its my second time that I couldn't reply them on time what they can do now will they cancel my citizenship application or they can send next test invite

The problem is IRCC won’t always understand circumstances. If you have citizenship file in process, they expect you to be present inside Canada. It’s completely their discretion to not to return your file as you have missed your test twice.
I’m quite sure they’re scheduling knowledge test for people who are not in Canada thru Teams on case by case basis.
I think, your letter of explanation should include everything what’s preventing you coming back to Canada at this time and why you should be allowed to take knowledge test from outside of Canada.

You don't need to do anything now. You should get a email with all necessary instructions attached closer to your oath date (upto 3 days prior).

When is your oath? You will receive an invitation email a week before with the instructions (zoom link, seat number, ... etc)

Hi everyone.

I would like to know your thoughts on my situation.
I've also been waiting over 5 months after my citizenship test status was set to completed on October 7th (2021).
I was traveling in October when I received the test invitation, so I let the officer know and wrote the test remotely.
In February, the immigration office asked me when I left Canada before taking the test, and when I'm coming back and supporting documents to prove that I am back. I have been traveling again and I provided the information requested.
They then asked when I intend to be back. I informed them of my intended return date. However, my circumstances have changed and I have accepted a position abroad. I updated my address using the web form and have replied to the officer's original email.

I have not heard back since. Has this happened to anyone else? Why do you think they were asking for my intended return date?

My timeline:
Application sent: July 24th, 2020
Application received: July 28th, 2020
Processing started: February 1st, 2021
Background verification complete: August 31st, 2021
Citizenship Completed: October 7th, 2021

Me. From Mississauga office. Test passed in June. DM in on July 29th. Had a ghost update on Feb 22. Nothing after that. Whats ur local visa office?

Same here. My visa office is Mississauga. I’m very confused. People who applied after me got their citizenship 2 months ago. I’m still waiting for invitation for oath ceremony. Do you know, how to contact them ?

Ghost update is when your file is updated but you see no changes on ur tracker. In my case, the tracker showed last updated on July 29th for last 7 months (when everything except oath ceremony was completed). On February 25th tht date changed but the tracker remained the same. Hope it makes sense
