In a May 2 round of invitations, the province of Saskatchewan issued 43 new invitations to apply to candidates in the SINP Entrepreneur Expression of Interest pool.

The scores of candidates invited range from a low of 120 to a high of 135 based on the SINP Entrepreneur points assessment grid.

Saskatchewan's Entrepreneur Category is dedicated to foreign nationals seeking to establish, purchase or partner in an eligible business in the province.

The first step in being considered as a potential candidate is the submission of an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP).

The EOI is a pre-application process to determine interested candidates' eligibility for the program and evaluate them based on the program's unique points assessment grid.

The highest-scoring candidates are invited to apply for an SINP Entrepreneur approval letter and those approved can then apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada for a Temporary Work Permit to run their business in Saskatchewan.

A Business Performance Agreement is signed between the applicant and the province. Those who meet the conditions of that agreement and all other requirements outlined by the SINP can apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence.
