Five hundred and forty-six invitations to apply for a provincial nomination were issued to skilled workers and international graduates in the latest British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) draw, which took place on September 3, 2019.

This is the second-largest draw in the history of the BC PNP. On August 20, 2019, the BC PNP held its largest draw with a total of 551 invitations to Skills Immigration, Express Entry and Entrepreneur candidates.

The new invitations went to candidates from the Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC streams, specifically the Skilled Worker, International Graduate as well as the Entry Level and Semi-Skilled categories.

The minimum scores for this draw ranged between 93 and 100 points.

Candidates who obtain an invitation under B.C.’s Express Entry- ed streams, such as the EEBC - Skilled Worker and EEBC - International Graduate streams, obtain 600 additional points under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) if their application for provincial nomination is approved.

Skills Immigration candidates with a successful nomination from the province will have their applications for permanent residence processed outside the Express Entry system.

Individuals interested in immigrating to Canada through the BC PNP must first submit an online profile with the BC PNP’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) and complete all components of the form.

Once a profile is assessed, applicants receive a score based on education, work experience, and other factors.
