Hello,

I am scheduled to take my Canada citizenship oath ceremony on May 16th, 2024. I live and work in the US on an H4 visa. I am planning to travel to Canada for my oath ceremony but want to return to the US soon after my oath ceremony as I can't take time off work.
  1. Can I re-enter the US after my oath ceremony in Canada without a Canadian passport but on my Indian passport and H4 visa (Indian citizen at this time)?
  2. What documents would I need to re-enter the US besides my H4 visa and I-797?
  3. Is it possible for me to apply for my Canadian passport from the US? I am not in a rush to re-enter Canada as I now live in the US. If yes, can I find an occupation-based guarantor who lives in the US for my passport application? How long does this process take?
Thank you for your time, any suggestions and advice will be helpful.
