Hello all, I am the employer of the caregiver. They both received the eligibility letter and the mother already has her visa stamped on her passport. We applied for open study permit for his Grade 9 Child but was denied. The refusal reason was insufficient funds. During the SP application, we have not provided much funds as we believe it is not necessary as the mother will be working full time and they will be living with us. Also the school does not require tuition at all and we already have acceptance letter from them. So, no significant cost for them.
We will be re-applying this week, for anyone that has the same situation or know someone, would it still be required to follow the minimum funds ($20K) so as to approve the minor student permit?
