About Canadian Immigration Lawyer Michael Schwartz
Michael Schwartz is an Attorney at Campbell Cohen. The grandson, great-grandson, and great-great-grandson of immigrants to Canada, Michael is a 2017 graduate of the Faculty of Law at McGill University.
He joined Campbell Cohen in 2018, as an articling student. In 2019 he received his call to the Law Society of Ontario. Michael then served as Foreign Law Clerk to Justice Daphne Barak-Erez at the Supreme Court of Israel. He then returned to Canada and resumed his work as an attorney at Campbell Cohen.
A versatile and tenacious researcher and writer, Michael handles a variety of matters, ranging from: new laws and regulations, developments in immigration jurisprudence, Express Entry, provincial nomination programs (PNPs), and inadmissibility issues. He also writes and edits content for CICNews.com and the Campbell Cohen/CanadaVisa family of websites.
In addition to his B.C.L./LL.B., Michael holds a B.A., also from McGill. Additionally, he holds an M.A. from the Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy, and Strategy. As part of his undergraduate education, Michael was an exchange student at the University of Sydney, in Australia. He was also a visiting graduate student at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and has furthered his study of French at the Université de Montréal, Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), and Glendon College of York University.
While at law school, Michael participated in a variety of initiatives, including volunteering at the Legal Information Clinic of McGill and with Pro Bono Students of Canada (PBSC); he also interned at the Elder Law Clinic. He was also the inaugural recipient of a prize of the Lord Reading Law Society and Ministère de la Justice du Québec
