I have same issue and this is a common mistake CIC does. You can correct it while landing. I am planning to land in jan 2016.

Let me know, how your landing goes.

Hi,

In my COPR last entry date and original entry date are blank(empty) and while I was landing at rainbow bridge (Jan-09-2016) , the agent didn't accept to add the right information.
Do you know if it will be a problem? How I can change it now if we need to do it.

Same case me too
Orginal date and last entry date is same

I also asked border officer to change it
He said don't worry about it


So now best thing is call Cic or write Cic

I landed last month

So I may will do later

Since you have already used your document to land and have become a Permanent Resident:



Complete a Request to Amend the Record of Landing (IMM 1000), Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5292 or 5688) or Valid Temporary Resident Documents
Refer to the Document Checklist (page 3 of the above form) to ensure a complete application package
Send the complete application package to the following address:



Amendment of immigration documents and of valid temporary resident documents

Operations Support Centre (OSC)

Citizenship and Immigration Canada

What should the original entry date actually be? Is the the very first time you ever set foot in Canada? Is it the first time you entered on status other than visitor?

I have a similar problem, but I've been waiting until I got my PR Card before I did anything about it (the entry dates aren't listed on the cards so it doesn't matter). I didn't want to risk delaying the card for any reason. Now that I have it I need to fix my CoPR.

Also, in the Request to Amend the Record of Landing (IMM 1000), Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5292 or 5688) or Valid Temporary Resident Documents (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM1436E.pdf) do you only fill out the sections that are incorrect, or do you need to provide ALL the details again?

I provided all the info to avoid any mistake or misunderstand. Also, I have sent a copy of I-94 with all dates plus my copy of Work Permit. So hey can use any of them as last entry.
In the form I asked them to use my first entry as I have in my WP doc.

It happened with me as well...original date and latest entry date is marked as May 2015 wherein I am in Canada since April 2013.
It was blank in my Spouse CoPR.
Do i need to really about it ? I have completed my landing on 5th January
When should I apply for amendment ? Pls advice and also do i need to just take care of my CoPR or for my spouse as well

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Right now it doesn't really matter, but if Trudeau changes things back to the way they were previously I'm going to want that time in Canada to count.
