Hi all
My boyfriend and I are looking into immigration to BC (Vancouver). He works as an Electrical Engineer in Denmark and has so for two years this September.
As far as I can tell you have to become licensed with APEGBC to work as a professional engineer in BC, and it takes 4 years of experience to get such a license (including 1 year in Canada).
I was just wondering how easy/complicated is it to get to work in Canada without this license? Obviously he can't work as a professional engineer from the get go, but perhaps he could get a trainee position. Is unrealistic to land and expect to find a job as a trainee Electrical Engineer in 3-6 months?
Thanks a lot
Rebecca
