I have some questions, please guide me.

I am on closed wp and right now in Toronto but I am going to get a open wp from another company which is in Alberta.
So I am going to switch my job. So here are my questions.

1.Can we stay here in toronto on alberta’s work permit for some time?
2.To convert closed wp to a new open wp, do we need to land in Alberta to activate it?
3.This open wp is only valid for Alberta job market, so in future if I want to change my job can I come to Toronto again?

Provinces don't issue work permits, so there is no such thing as "Alberta's work permit." An open work permit may be location-restricted, but what kind of open work permit do you qualify for?

Ok, then it is location restricted. So can I work remotely in Toronto for some time?
Due to covid, it is possible?

You can't work on a location-restricted open work permit outside the location it was issued for. Again, what work permit do you qualify for? Companies can't just issue open work permits.

There are very limited ways to get an OWP. Is your spouse working or studying in Canada? Are you still a student?
