My Biometrics was on Sep14th in VFS Seattle. Completing 5 weeks tomorrow. Still no updates. This is frustrating. My H1 expires on Nov 12th and I am worried.

I am in the same boat brother. No updates from me. Seems, someone rightly mentioned that the updates have gone dry post Sep10th biometrics

I don't think I need Medical (do you need one, i don't think you need if you are in US). Don't know about Portal (lawyers are totally useless), I called IRCC (automated message one) and it mentioned that background checks are in process (i think that's sort of default). They haven't started doing employment eligibility.

Oh OK, but still read requirements, you have to be out for certain time etc. Also, you can't call IRCC from outside Canada. I used this app https://www.textnow.com/messaging
And dial like it's from within Canada.

1-888-242-2100, Just make sure you select Canada as "dialing from" country. Also, keep your UCI and application numbers handy.

Got update from the lawyer. The letter is dated from yesterday, so it seems the approval was received yesterday itself.
