Hello I have more than 10 years of experience in my field. The query is since cic only counts points for 3 years should I provide the work experience letter for last 3 years only as per noc code?

Or for all the 10 years?

I will assume you are intending to apply under CEC class and you are speaking of foreign work experience. (If it is Canadian experience, you can get points for up to 5 years).

You need an experience letter for every JOB for which you are claiming eligibility and/or points. If you have held the same position for 3 or more years, you only need to include that one job and obtain one letter to maximize points, you do not need to cover 10 years.

If you held different jobs (even with the same employer, even with the same NOC), you need to list them as different jobs and usually obtain different letters (If you held 2 or more jobs for the same employer, it can be one letter that provides all the details for each job).

I have no idea what you mean by "only as per noc code."

Thank you for your response. So this is the detail. I am applying under 2171 and have been working under the same role. I joined my current company in 2013 and then 1 year back was transferred to Canada on closed work permit. So basically its one company but was intra company transfer for last year.

For the purpose of this application, the foreign company and the Canadian company are different employers. So you will need 2 letters (one for foreign work experience, one for Canadian work experience).

Ok i found the answer for this:

Can I be eligible for more than one program under Express Entry?
Yes. Depending on the information in your profile, you may be eligible for more than one program through Express Entry.

In that case, you will be invited to apply for one program based on this order:

  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC),
  • Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), then
  • Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP).
For example:

  • If you met the criteria for all three programs, the system would send you an invitation to apply for the CEC.
  • If you met the criteria for CEC and FSWP, you would also get an invitation to apply under the CEC.
  • If you met the criteria for FSWP and FSTP, you would get an invitation to apply under FSWP.
You can’t choose which program you are invited to apply for. The system will sort profiles based on the information you enter.

https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1294&top=29

If you decline the invitation, the system will not re-invite you under the next program. You will go back in the pool, and if we invite you again, the same order will apply.
