1. Usually about 30 days.
2. 5/6 months for approval in principle. Note Vegreville won't refuse your application, it will be referred to a CIC first.

i applied nov. 23rd inland and haven't heard anything yet either, it is a little over a week's difference but i'm in the same boat..constantly wondering when i'll see an update on e-cas

Not sure when they update for Inlanders...applied in August and still no update except receipt of application and start of application in-process.

It might be a long wait :(

on the cic site they say that they work on the applications filed in June 2009.

I sent mine in and was received on December 14. That was almost 2 months ago, and no update (neither e-CAS or confirmation letter--nothing) yet for me. I suppose its just going to be long... I tried calling the call center, but there is a really long busy signal, then silence. Its almost like they just hang up on you. Still hoping nothing went wrong, through.

We called the call centre and they gave us a Client ID# once we had the number we were able to check it on ecas.

How much time was there between when they received your application and when you called? They keep disconnecting me, saying a representative is not available, you think they would just play the hold music until you get someone, but they just hang up instead...maybe I should try calling earlier in the day?

When I spoke to a representative they told me I won't have a Clint ID # until the application has begun processing.

I'm Canadian, Can I sponsor my husband if my husband and I are students in Canad

I'm Canadian, Can I sponsor my husband if my husband and I are students in Canada, and I have a part-time job?

So I called them really early this morning and finally got through. The rep told me that your client ID number can also be found on any visitor record that you have. I had mine, and didn't realize that I was sitting on it this whole time.

Also, a call out to all the inlanders -- they are opening apps received up to nov 13 today!!
