You will need to wait until you have moved to Canada and have a job here before you will be able to go through the process to bring her here. Can I bring in a live in nanny from the Philippines if I'm a Canadian PR. I'm in the process of getting my residency and would like to get a nanny come with me to Canada. Not sure if I can sponsor her or not?
No you won’t be able to bring an international nanny with you on a study permit, if your husband is not coming there is always the option for your children and the nanny to remain with him. Do you have a study permit yet.I must have a job? I am a student there but on a very comfy scholarship and my husband has a good job abroad as well. Can't I demonstrate I can support her otherwise? And is there any alternative route to me sponsoring her?
Income should be from Canadian sources (FYI - IRCC will want to see income from a job rather than savings).I have been in Canada for 4 years and I'm becoming a PR soon while still a student. I already got my passport requested. My husband might come with me for a while and if he finds a job stay.. If not he will have to be in between for a while. He doesn't have to be back home for his work all the time. I wouldn't leave my son behind either way for sure.
I Would love to understand whether the income needed to bring a nanny must be Canadian income or can be global? I have a lot of savings as well which I can partially transfer to Canada.
You can try. If you want to try - your husband will need to be filing taxes in Canada on his worldwide income so that his tax return can be used as evidence your family has sufficient income to cover the costs of a nanny.Sigh.. So I guess no point trying. Better find someone in Canada. Thanks!
Well I've been filing taxes and declaring his income on mine. He does have an SIN to file taxes yet and he won't have one in time for us to apply..You can try. Just my opinion - but I don't think that will work. At a minimum, I think he would need to be filing taxes in Canada as the wage earner.Well I've been filing taxes and declaring his income on mine. He does have an SIN to file taxes yet and he won't have one in time for us to apply..
