Visa processing

My Job application for Canada as Farmhouse Supervisor was approved. I'm from the Philippines. I a just a bit confused why the employer has emailed to process my working visa in Canadian High Commission in India while we have our own Canadian Embassy in the Philippines. Please help me. Is this valid? Is it okay to get or process visa in India while in the Philippines we also have?
