Hi,

I am in a big dilemma, I got ITA and have 33 days left to submit my documents. I have everything ready except for pcc. It takes at least 3 months for my country and I applied on June 22. However, I have a letter from my embassy saying that it is in process and it takes a long time. My question is if I should submit the documents now with that letter and a letter of explanation or I should wait and submit it on the last day?

Thanks

Wait until last minute to submit your application, if you haven't gotten the PCC by then write a LOE and attach all the documentation that proves you applied for the PCC and that it will take longer than the time you have left to submit your PR app. Once you get the PCC submit it via CSE to CIC.

Good luck with your app!

Submit your application on the 59th day. Upload an LOE wherein you regret/apologize for the delay in applying (hence obtaining) the PCC and politely request the officer to consider your application as complete while reminding them that you waited till the last day to apply so that you may have included the PCC had you received it by then. Attach all supporting evidence along with the LOE.

If your application is still open on the say you receive the PCC, send in a CSE (Case Specific Enquiry) along with the PCC and request them to add it to your profile. If they cancel your application before that, try reopening your application by sending in a CSE along with the PCC (some members have done this successfully but there is no guarantee that this would always work in your favor). Last resort would be to create a fresh profile (if your application is cancelled and NOT reopened) and wait for a fresh ITA.

All the best!

Another thing is I got all my documents ready. Will I need to get new ones? Like bank letter and statements?

Some documents like Medicals, PCC(s) and bank certificate(s) are time-bound while the others aren't. Cross that bridge when you get there.

Zara1986 do NOT ask politely to the visa officer to consider your application as complete as is NOT and it will lead to an immediate refusal, INSTEAD provide proof of submission and the Letter of your Embassy and request an EXTENSION to provide the PC.

It could be granted as I received an extension for 60 days for one of my clients today.

Regards,
