Hello everyone, I'd like to extend a warm invitation for all who are going through the VO in Kiev, Ukraine. Please feel free to share as much info about your experience. UNITE!!!
My wife and I are currently entering stage 2 now. We just got notification that I'm approved as a sponsor and our file has been sent to Kiev to begin the 2nd stage.

I am sponsoring my wife who'll be going through Kiev. We sent our application 7 days ago, and just waiting for AOR. There doesn't seem to be a lot of applicants going through the Kiev VO; so hoping its a speedy process.

How long did it take you to get the SA notice.

I assume when you say "SA notice" you mean Sponsorship approval notice. We received our SA notice Feb. 19th, dated Feb. 13th. We were informed that our papers were in Mississauga on November 21st. There was quite a delay around this time with CIC presumably being shut down over the holidays and after, January and February was a massive logjam with Mississauga. There was quite an uproar on the November 2012 Applicants Unite thread about the logjam. I hope your assumption is correct about the Kiev VO, it's VERY quiet about Ukraine on this forum. Let's hope it's a great situation for us. :) My wife and I wish God's richest blessings on you and your process.

c'mon!!!!!!!!!!!!
NOOOOOOOBODY from Ukraine???????????????????????? speak up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you and same to you.

Dayver1331, have you heard anything from the Kiev VO yet. How close do you think you are to the Finish line :)

We haven't heard anything from Kiev yet. CIC call centre said it takes our papers to arrive after being sent to a visa office. Not sure if they mean in general(by diplomatic mail) or to Kiev's Office. Our sponsorship approval date is Feb.13th(date on our approval letter). So, the next thing we will likely hear is either a request for more info, an interview or a request for my wife's passport. SO - let's pray and hope it's about the passport!

Hi there,

I am a sponsor going through visa office in Kiev. I am still waiting for stage 1 approval before my file gets transferred to Kiev.

I heard VO in Kiev does not take that long to process the files. Would not that be awesome if stage 2 takes less time than stage 1? It has been more than 3 months of wait for me for sponsorship approval...and still waiting.

Alex_29, thanks for your input. Nice to hear about someone else going through Kiev. We wish you the best in your process as well.
Where did you hear that Kiev doesn't take that long to process? It would be awesome if it took less time than stage 1, you're right!

Congrats on stage 1!!

I'm still gathering some info, because I am still not back in Canada...once I am, we'll file the sponsorship papers.
Very happy that there are some folks that are going trough Kiev, if everything works out we'll be too. Hi everyone!!!
Count me in!

I'll be several steps behind - hopefully everyone won't mind hinting and sharing) always helps, and if not actually, mentally it's easier that way)

And a question for everybody - how did you, guys, go about med exams?

Did anyone do them in advance - pre-application? We are thinking of doing a med exam before, any thoughts?

Thanks in advance
