Transfer of Funds After Landing

I landed in October 2009 and at that time i had reported at immigration that i have with me CAD$ 11K, now i am planning to sell my property and transfer around CAD$ 40K to Canada. Please advice do i have to pay any taxes if,

a) I use option of wire transfer
b) I carry this amount with me on my return to Canada.
