My panel physician lost my *censored word*ing medical exams.
I got it done in Nov 2014 and I just found out today (6 months later) because CIC couldn't find it in their system.
What can I do about it?
Can I sue the physician?
I'm so pissed off

Re: They fu..ing lost my Medical Exams

Have you spoken to the physician yet?

Re: They fu..ing lost my Medical Exams

Yes..
he confirmed they can't find them.
they will reimburse me part of the money and that's all. They can't do anything.
I'm not in Canada anymore and I will have to pay again to get it done and wait so many fucking days again to get the results sent to CIC.
Sorry about my language. I'm really angry at the moment

If I were you I would be insisting that all your money for the medical is reimbursed you paid for a service here in Canada and it was not completed.

Once your medical is done its usually fairly quick that CIC receives it. ...Idea when your medical is complete before leaving the office request to have the actual results of all the tests. This way you can send copies directly to the VO yourself and or email all results to both Mississauga and your VO. Not all the panel doctors provide them it but its worth a try.

Chris.

good idea - When my husband had his medical done we actually got a photocopy from the physician.

Re: They fu..ing lost my Medical Exams

I asked for the copies and all they can give me is the X-ray and blood work, but the actual physical exam is missing and that's what they need to send to CIC.
I'll have to redo it.
Goddamnit!

See if you can just get that physical part of the exam done with out having to redo the whole thing.. and also get copies of the exam so you can have and submit them on your own.

Check with CIC first in order to find out if they would accept just the physical part of the exam to be redone since they have the other tests in their possession as it is.

This would be pointless to do. The doctors do not send your medical results to Mississauga nor to the outland visa office. They send the medical results to any of the Regional Medical Offices (RMOs). The RMO is the one that actually analysis the medical results and puts the results into a simple summary that is then accessed by the VO.

The only thing the VO needs is the receipt # of the medical, so they know how to access it from the RMO once they finish the analysis.

And as mentioned as long as x-rays and blood work are on file, you would only need to re-do the physical exam. I would demand a full refund from the doc that did the exam, and also report them to CIC for failure to do their duty as panel physician properly.
