Hi All,

I just received a ready-for visa e-mail. However, I do not need a visa to enter Canada, but I still need to submit a passport copy of the page with photo and 2 photographs to the nearest visa center (Viena in my case). I am planning on sending that all before the end of this week. My question now is what is the next step in this process? How long before the CoPR is issued (I am assuming it will be by postal mail)? Anything else I need to take into consideration?
Thank you all.

My timeline for those interested:
January 18, 2020 Submitted my application and received Acknowledgement of Receipt
January 31, 2020 Biometrics submitted
February 9, 2020 Medical Passed (expired on 9 February 2021)
February 12, 2020 Submitted the police certificate
February 18, 2020 Criminality Passed
May 14, 2020 Eligibility Passed and Security Screening started
April 7, 2021 Called IRCC and understood that I have passed my security screening.
October 29, 2021 Medical passed (extended).
December 1, 2021 Received Ready for Visa E-mail

Yes, on Nov. 24th I asked them via phone to update my phone number and I gave them the Canadian address where I'm currently staying. I mentioned that this address is only temporary since I'm just a tourist, but they wanted to take note of it anyway. So, it might be a coincidence or the address update might have triggered my file to be processed. Who knows...
So what happens to your RFV mail since you're inland now? Do you get to do a virtual landing instead? eCoPR instead of the actual CoPR and stuff?

You don't see the trend because people like you keep coming in and keep asking questions. It's kind of frustrating after repeating the purpose of the group after 108th time..
And also people like you who have nothing else to do than correct people :)

No, unfortunately, they still treat me as outland (since I technically am - I'm just a tourist as of now). I got the PPR mail asking me to send a copy of the first page of my passport (not the actual passport since I'm visa-exempt) and 2 photos via mail either to the consulate in Vienna or to Ottawa directly with Canada Post along with the PPR mail printed out.

Ah, thanks for the response. Do you need to exit Canada to do your landing or flagpole or something?

I'm not sure. According to IRCC's website, CoPR holders can get an appointment in Canada to do the "landing" procedure. Since I don't have a CoPR yet (just a PPR email asking to send over photos to Ottawa via Canada Post) I'm waiting for further instructions.
