You don't get a PR for doing a masters in Canada although it does help.
To get a PR you need to apply to Express Entry based on your details you get a score and depending on your score you might get invited to apply for PR, you can calculate your score here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp.

Also if you finish a university or college study in Canada you can get a Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP, check the rules carefully!) which is a temporary work permit of up to 3 years (Depends on how long your study program was), if you manage to get 1 year of work experience then you can apply for PR under Canadian Experience Class (CEC), express entry.

So the usual recommended path to PR through studies is:
1) Study full time at a 2 year program in Uni or College.
2) Get 3 year PGWP (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/work/after-graduation.html).
3) Work for at least 1 year in a accepted professional capacity.
4) Apply for PR through CEC (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/results-by-topic.asp?st=29.5).
