Study Permit Extension Processing Time

Hi all,

I wonder has anyone recently gotten their study permit extension approved and how long did it take? I submitted mine on Nov 15. At that time they claimed the processing time to be 56 days but now it has been over 2 months. Can anyone please share their timeline? Thanks!!

The processing time is really a myth... I saw someone who submitted on Nov 14 got approved last week. Really have no idea how IRCC works.

I am waiting since Sep 30 and know a few students who are waiting from May 2021, July 2021 and Aug 2021. And other few got in just 20-25 days after applying so don't know what's going on

Someone I know got her study permit extension approval yesterday 25 Jan 2022. Inside canada She applied in August 2021. After 5 months waiting she finally got it. Hopefully more will get approval very soon.
