Hello I have one simple question before I waste everybodies time/life !!!

I am wondering :
I am a Canadian citizen, I have never left Canada, I have met a Russian woman (online via her daughter) I have a shady past !! I desire to not waste her life away.. I need to know about sponsorship denial before any further steps are taken !!
I have a criminal record ,1981, convicted of criminal negligence causing death.shooting accident. since then 3 dui ,, last one occurring 12 years ago... I have never applied for a pardon as I never anticipated a need for one... I think I have erred!!!
I guess I really don't have a question I am looking for confirmation that I will be denied sponsorship//or not ....

Any help on this will be appreciated !!!!

I am not sure if you would be deemed rehabilitated or not. I think you should see if you can get advice from a lawyer or call CIC to ascertain if you can sponsor or not, the guidelines say it depends on the circumstances and how long ago. As it is more almost 30 years it may be that you won't have any problems, but you do need to ask.

You may not be eligible to be a sponsor if you:

failed to provide financial support you agreed to when you signed a sponsorship agreement to sponsor another relative in the past
defaulted on a court-ordered support order, such as alimony or child support
received government financial assistance for reasons other than a disability
were convicted of a violent criminal offence, any offence against a relative or any sexual offence—depending on circumstances such as the nature of the offence, how long ago it occurred and whether a pardon was issued
defaulted on an immigration loan—late or missed payments
are in prison or
have declared bankruptcy and have not been released from it yet.

You could also apply for a pardon from:

Clemency and Pardons Division
National Parole Board
410 Laurier Avenue West
Ottawa ON K1A 0R1
Telephone: 1 800 874-2652 (Callers in Canada and the United States only)
Facsimile: 1 613 941-4981
Website: www.npb-cnlc.gc.ca (the guide which includes application forms can be downloaded from the website)

Non issue for the sponsor, no need for pardon, rehabilitation, whatever. As long as he has not been convicted of assault of a family member, he is not ineligible to sponsor for criminality.

Yes, but first you either have to be married or have been in a common/law relationship for at least 1 year.

how is that possible with a child of 8 years at home ?????

If you are not married nor living in a common/law relationship, you can't sponsor her.
