Please help!

I am Canadian citizen. I've submitted an inland spouse sponsor application for my wife and the application has not been reviewed yet. Can I switch employment now? I've provided my current employers letter of employment and proof of income for the application.

Thank you!

i dont think so it will be a issue. You can update your file. Even they ask my employment letter later after a year and proof of my income. But update them once you file is received by the designated embassy. Even you can email with your embassy to check that your job is change. Right now you dont have any file number to update your file.

Yes, you can switch employers. You are not required to tell CIC.

Thank you both.

Would immigration called my employer after they started reviewing my application and call for a refernce check, found out that I no longer being employed by that company and appeal my application?

Also, the new job I am planning to switch over is self-employed, would that be a problem since I believe there's a minimum wage I need to make since I am the sponsor?

Thank you again!

No.

There is no minimum income requirement.
