Wife has to pass eligibility to be approved

If his visa has expired then yes. Work permit is not a travel document.

Thanks for the response. Actually now that I have returned to India, the new company I currently work for is giving me opportunity for closed work permit (ICT). Would there be any challenge with ICT visa initiation and processing as I already have valid visa and open work permit.

So you have worked for the company for a year to transfer you? They have the approved LMIA?

Yes, concern is until open work permit and visa is valid, can current company initiate ICT visa for me?

So if you have worked outside Canada for a year with the company in their office and the company are eligible for ICT, and your company has approved LMIA exemption then you can apply for a closed work permit.

"Temporary Policy in place from January 30, 2023, for two years, relaxes the employment requirement from "skilled work" to "all skill levels."
